Man in custody after climbing to the top of Supreme Scream Tower at Knott’s Berry Farm


SkyFOX was on a dramatic scene in Buena Park where a man was seen standing atop a tall tower at Knott’s Berry Farm on Saturday night.

The man, wearing a face cover over his mouth, stood next to the American flag atop the park’s Supreme Scream Tower for more than an hour.

The man eventually made it back down safely, according to Buena Park police. He is currently in police custody.

Knott’s Berry Farm has issued the following statement:

“At approximately 7:23 pm, Knott’s Berry Farm became aware of a man who had entered an unauthorized area and climbed the Supreme Scream Tower. Park staff alerted local law enforcement and emergency responders who are now on site. The guest got off the tower at 8 a.m. : 55pm and is currently safely on the ground in police custody. No other information is available at the moment. The safety of our guests is always our top priority. “

It is not known what prompted the man to make the terrifying climb to the top of the tower.
