Authorities in Northern California are looking for the the public’s help in locating Kiely Rodni, a 16-year-old girl who may have been abducted, according to CBS Sacramento.
Rodni, of Truckee, northeast of Sacramento, was last seen early Saturday morning at the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. She was at a high school graduation party with dozens of other students.
Rodni’s automobile is also missing, a silver 2013 Honda CRV with California license plates. Since the party, the teenager’s phone has been out of service.
Rodni’s partner, Sami Smith, claims she spent most of the night with her, and Rodni intended to spend the night at the campsite.
“I knew she wasn’t in the right frame of mind or in the right condition to drive. And she wouldn’t have gone very far if she had been driving,” Smith said. “My fear is that someone volunteered to take her home and then didn’t.”
Authorities believe his disappearance appears suspicious. Sunday was dedicated to his search by search and rescue teams.
Because his automobile is gone, the sheriff’s office is investigating the event as a potential kidnapping.
Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, Rodni’s mother, in an internet video urged anyone with information come forward.
“All I want is for her to come home,” Rodni-Nieman added. “We are terrified and miss her terribly.”
Rodni is described as 5ft 7in, weighing 115lbs, with blonde hair and hazel eyes.
She was last seen wearing Dickies jeans, a black tank top and a nose ring, among other piercings and jewelry.
Rodni is a recent graduate of Forest Charter School in Truckee.
